The Hong Kong Science Fair (HKSF), organised by the Hong Kong Innovation Foundation, provides an interactive platform for students to overcome challenges in the community with an innovative and human-centric way. This year, 2 teams of Jubileans are eligible for the Final Round and showcase their projects in Hong Kong Conventions and Exhibition Center on June 17th and 18th , 2023.
One team, which is led by Ms. Fung Wing Sze and Mr. Cheng Man Kin, designed an AI system “Dr. Martin” which can recognize the appearance of faeces as a non-invasive approach for early diagnosis. Another team, which is led by Dr. Choi Chi Fung, designed a floating greenhouse “PLANTIS” which demonstrates the concept of carbon neutral as well as how to combat the shortage of land and fresh water in planting. “PLANTIS” has won the appreciation from the judges and walks away with Gold Award in Senior Secondary School Section. This project is also invited to participate in 49th Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions which is going to be held in April 2024.
