Shenzhen is renowned for incubating many innovative and technological startups. Both students and parents have long been interested in learning more about these companies. With this in mind, our school has collaborated with the Join Publishing Cultural Fund to organize a study tour to Shenzhen on January 18, 2025.
In the morning, we had the opportunity to visit SenseTime, a leading AI software company that operates across various industrial sectors such as architecture, power grid maintenance, auto-piloting, and education. Parents and students alike had the chance to experience some of their state-of-the-art products.
During the afternoon, our first stop was the Shenzhen Planning Exhibition where we gained insight into how Shenzhen has transformed from a village to a thriving innovation incubation hub. Following this, we visited DJI to understand how they transitioned from a dream to a global business. We were also able to explore a variety of drones designed for different industries and purposes. To conclude the day, our students and parents engaged in a robotic match with Robomaster, another educational robot developed by DJI. The feedback from our participants has been overwhelmingly positive, and they found this STEAM study tour to be both educational and rewarding.
