We are excited to share highlights from our recent F.5 Citizenship and Social Development study tour to Zhongshan and Zhuhai from 15 January to 16 January 2025! This educational journey aimed to deepen students' understanding of cultural heritage and social development in the motherland.
Day 1
F5 students started their adventure at the Wugui Mountain Hakka Village. Students explored the magnificent Hakka roundhouses, gaining insights into traditional Hakka architecture and lifestyle.
A delicious meal of Hakka cuisine was enjoyed for lunch, featuring traditional dishes that provided a taste of local culture.
The tour visited the Zhongshan Museum, which allowed students to learn about the rich history of the region and its contributions to Chinese culture. The day concluded with a stroll through the Sun Yat-sen Road Arcade, where students experienced the vibrant local atmosphere and captured memorable moments.
Day 2
The tour continued with a visit to the iconic Zhuhai Fisher Girl statue and the Zhuhai Grand Theatre. Students appreciated the beautiful coastal scenery and modern architecture.
In the afternoon, the trip was wrapped up with the exploration to Hui Tong Ancient Village, immersing the students in the historical significance and cultural heritage of the area.
This tour not only enhanced students' knowledge of citizenship and social development but also fostered a deeper appreciation for the cultural diversity of our neighboring regions. We look forward to more enriching experiences in the future!
