On 23 November, 2024, Bishop Hall Jubilee School celebrated its 61st Speech Day in the school hall. We were excited to welcome our esteemed alumnus, Mr. Yau Lop-poon, the current editor-in-chief of Yazhou Zhoukan, as our guest of honor. He presented diplomas to the graduates and shared inspiring words of encouragement.
Mr. Yau spoke about the four key elements of success represented by the acronym KASH: Knowledge, Attitude, Skill, and Habit. He encouraged us to pursue our dreams and to continue learning and improving ourselves, regardless of the challenges we may face.
Our principal, Ms. Law, highlighted the numerous opportunities this year for students to discover their talents. The choir achieved remarkable success in competitions, while the dance and drama teams also earned several awards. In sports, our cross-country and basketball teams stood out with impressive performances. Ms. Law expressed her gratitude to all the teachers for their support and wished the graduates the very best for their future.
We also celebrated the dedication of Mr. Choi Kim-yuen, Ms. Lam Siu-mei, and janitor Ms. Fen, who received Long-Service Awards for their ten years of commitment, earning a warm round of applause from everyone present.
A special alumni homecoming ceremony recognized graduates from the classes of 1964, 1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, and 1999 for their contributions to their communities.
During the ceremony, the student representative reflected on their school experiences and expressed gratitude for the support received from teachers, family, and friends. We joyfully concluded the day by singing the school hymn together.
We hope everyone left with wonderful memories. A big thank you to all the teachers who organized Speech Day and to the alumni who contributed to the celebrations.
We are immensely proud of our graduates and wish them all the best as they embark on new journeys ahead!
