On 17 June 2023, the school held the plaque unveiling ceremony in commemoration of Mr. Au Yeung Keung, our former Vice Principal, and his contribution to the school and the education sector. In addition, room 203 was named "Au Yeung Keung Room". In memory of Mr. Au Yeung, local and overseas alumni also established the Au Yeung Keung Mathematics Memorial Scholarship in the same year. The scholarship will be awarded every year to commend students with outstanding performance in Mathematics Extended Part Module 1 and Module 2, extending Mr. Au Yeung’s love for students.

The school's board members, principal, family members of Mr. Au Yeung, alumni, staff members and student representatives attended the plaque unveiling ceremony. At the ceremony, 1969 alumnus, Ms. Josie Lee gave a speech, introducing Mr. Au Yeung’s life, contributions to the school, and expressing her gratitude to the donors. Principal Law remarked that the commemorative plaque was set up to commemorate the contribution of this outstanding former vice principal in the school. The plaque will be hung outside Room 203, so that everyone can remember the spirit of Mr. Au Yeung’s dedication and professionalism. Finally, Mrs. Au Yeung unveiled the commemorative plaque, a token of the school's heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Au Yeung's family.

Mr. Au Yeung joined the BHJS Mathematics Department on September 1, 1966, and was later promoted to Vice Principal. He had always been committed to nurturing young minds. He served in the school for 36 years until his retirement in 2002, making profound contribution to the school.
