Participating and serving in the activities organized by Mary Rose School has long been a cherished tradition for our Form 3 students at BHJS. Each year, every F.3 student volunteers to assist in at least one event at Mary Rose School. This practice provides students with invaluable opportunities to learn the importance of serving others, echoing our school motto, "Non Nascor Mihi Solum" (I was not born for myself alone).
The five F.3 classes engaged in various events, such as the Handicraft Arts cum Tea Gathering, Athletics Meet, BBQ Day, Outdoor Game Day, Game Booth Day, and Get-Together Meetings. During these activities, our students either supported the events organized by Mary Rose School or crafted a series of games for the Mary Rose students to enjoy. Additionally, some of our students showcased their talents by performing songs and dances.
Before and after these events, our students received guidance from social workers on how to cultivate a mindset focused on serving others. This training was instrumental in preparing them for their roles.
On the final C-day, students from each class delivered presentations detailing their contributions and the lessons they learned during these activities. Their presentations reflected a positive attitude and genuine enjoyment in their volunteer work.
